Seiki Hot Runners.

Seiki Hot Runners.

Lack of Gate Temperature Control causing Flashes, Stringing, Degradation and Long Cycles?

Uniquely patented - Seiki’s hot runner systems are fitted with 2 independent temperature controls - 1 for the main body (that can be used with any existing controller) and 1 for the separate tip at the gate.

This enables engineers to have increased control of temperature only at the gate where its needed. Preventing overheating in the main body and therefore eliminating degradation.

And with the gate temperature controlled, the hot runner thermocouple could be added into the correct position for the body temperature alone, and not positioned to account for gate temperature.

This Seiki patented discovery has accounted for 40°C lower temperatures and wider operating windows paving the way for new competitive product capabilities for all of our clients.

Product features:

  • Separate Gate Tip Temperature Controller ability to be used with current onsite controllers

  • Hot and Cold Runner with and without tip controller

  • Further range includes: Manifolder, Hothalf, Runnerless Rubber and LSR Moulding System

  • Delayed payment options available*

  • Fastest delivery time: 4-6 Weeks

There is sometimes as much as a 230°C difference in a plastics molten state vs mould state.

But how do you control heat changes without causing degradation, rejects and long cycles?

As many manufacturers experience, especially with complex engineering plastics - on the one side very high temperatures are needed and the other side very low temperatures to complete the part.

But often the two don’t mix.

Turning the temperature up to reduce flashes, stringing and longer cycles on the mould side causes degradation in the molten half and vice versa.

The key lies in controlling the gate.

Seiki reimagined hot runner design with an independent gate controller and re-positioned body thermocouple to solve this.
